JANUARY 28, 2014 Request For Ideas (RFI) packets will be made available at the kickoff event
and online after the kick off event at MNChallenge.com. Question and answer
period will open on MNChallenge website.
FEBRUARY 12, 2014 Deadline for participants to post questions regarding the Phase I competition on
the MNChallenge website. Answers to questions received by the deadline will be
posted on the website. Sponsor organizations will not answer questions
submitted after February 12
FEBRUARY 19, 2014 Sponsors will provide answers to the questions posted by the February 12
deadline. All questions and answers will be posted on the MN Challenge website.
FEBRUARY 28, 2014 Phase I electronic submissions due are by 5pm CST.
MARCH 14, 2014 MN Challenge selects up to three teams to further develop their concepts during
Phase II and be eligible for an award of up to $10,000. If two or more teams
submit similar ideas on related concepts, the sponsors may ask them to merge
into one team as part of Phase II. A merged team will be considered as one of the
MARCH 21, 2014 Finalists submit budget for using their financial assistance from the sponsors.
MAY 8, 2014 Participants in Phase II are required to present their fully developed ideas at St.
Thomas University’s Second Annual Minnesota Affordable Housing Conference.
MAY 21, 2014 Phase II electronic submissions are due by 5pm CST.
MAY 2014 The sponsor organizations will announce, at the ULI MN / RCM’s Annual Housing
Summit, the winning idea and award up to $70,000 to the winning team for
implementation of their concept.
